LG Energy Solution and the Research Institute of Industrial Science & Technology (RIST) will start a joint study to develop advanced technologies for smart factories, the company said, Wednesday. The two parties agreed to actively cooperate in researching various cutting-edge technologies including digital twin technology, which implements virtual representations of real-world physical objects or processes and runs simulations to predict possible problems.
