This limited edition smartwatch packs in all your premium favorites from the 45mm Galaxy Watch 3 but packaging it in luxury with a titanium case fusing luxury with functionality of the modern smartwatch.
This Friday, September 18, Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Titanium will be hitting the shelves in South Korea and October 2 internationally – although Samsung has not yet specified which markets they will make the newest smartwatch model available. The 45mm Bluetooth only variant can be purchased through Samsung Digital Plaza, Samsung online store, 11street, Coupang, and GMarket for 70,000 KRW or $652 converted. Following suit to the South Korea release, it will head to the international market with a price tag of $599.99 which is cheaper than the local release.
This version follows the Galaxy Watch 3 which became an instant hit in South Korea as soon as it was released. Available in three hues: Mystic Black, Mystic Silver, and Mystic Bronze outlined in a unique rotating bezel.
Galaxy Watch 3 in Titanium, a luxury smartwatch, is an innovation labeled to be first of its kind down the Samsung line of smartwatches and is considered the successor of the original Galaxy Watch announced last August 2018. The first Galaxy Watch was released August 24 in the US and a few days after became available in retail locations in South Korea before extending to selected markets in September of the same year.
It comes in a mystic black strap link bracelet with a smart locking system that can be easily adjusted to any wrist size and a titanium case making it lightweight and durable. Compared to the Galaxy Watch 3 released earlier this year in two size variants, 41mm and 45mm, this Titanium version weighs significantly 10g less at 43g only. This titanium variant of smartwatch is not the first in the industry as Apple already released one last year as part of its Series 5 although it came in with a more expensive price tag at $799.
Here’s what you need to know about this Titanium variant.
It features the classic rotating bezel of Galaxy Watch series in a luxury package of a titanium case and mystic black metal strap perfectly complementing the case. It has a circular form which can be strange to the eye as most smartwatches are edged. It is available in a solo 45mm variant, that is 1.4 inches 360 x 360 Super AMOLED Full Color Always On Display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass DX running on an Exynos 9110 Dual Core 1.15 GHz processor. It’s also water and dust resistant.
It promises more while retaining the premium favorite features Galaxy Watch 3 wearers loved. It’s equipped with a Tizen Wearable OS 5.5 compatible in both Android and iOS which brings the cutting edge health, wellness, and fitness technology. With its high end sensors located at the back of the smartwatch, it can measure your blood pressure, monitor your ECG, and track your blood oxygen (SPO2) levels. The smartwatch can also provide standalone running analysis with detailed metrics for regularity, asymmetry, stiffness and more. Maximum oxygen consumption during intense exercises can also be measured using this device. Home training programs and sleep management in partnership with the National Sleep Foundation will also be available in this model to provide a comprehensive health and wellness content and experience for all its users.
This smartwatch also comes in with a Fall Detection feature which notifies the contact person in case of emergency which adds security to the long list of features it boasts. It’s battery is 340mAH with a WPC-based wireless charging with 1GB RAM and boosted internal memory storage up to 8GB.
Music lovers will also love its Spotify on the go feature which can be activated or accessed via your smartphone or the Galaxy Buds Live.
But there’s more to this newest release. Samsung also partnered with the Smart Caddie app developed by Golfzon Deka for all the tech-savvy golf lovers. The app pre-installed into the smartwatch features 40,000 golf course data and maps across the globe available with satellite views, detailed guides, shot and score tracking to name a few.
